Steps //
- 01 Cut the unpeeled potatoes into bite-size chunks and slice the garlic.
- 02 Microwave the potatoes for 8 minutes. Cooking tip The description does not specify microwave wattage or the weight of each potato.
- 03 While the potatoes cook, heat olive oil in a pan and fry the garlic over medium heat until fragrant.
- 04 Add the cooked potatoes, lightly brown their surfaces, and season with salt and pepper.
- 05 Turn off the heat, toss with a little paprika, then set both the potatoes and garlic aside. Cooking tip Add the paprika for the potatoes and garlic at the end of this cooking stage.
- 06 Add olive oil and butter to the same pan and cook the octopus over medium-low heat. Cooking tip The video shows the pan-cooking stage. It does not specify whether the octopus was precooked or how long to cook it in the pan.
- 07 Spoon the melted butter over the octopus as it cooks and season with salt and pepper.
- 08 Add plenty of paprika and move the octopus to one side. Return the potatoes and garlic to the pan and toss them in the remaining sauce.
- 09 Plate the octopus, potatoes and garlic, then spoon over the pan sauce and finish with lemon juice. Cooking tip Adjust the 2–3 tbsp lemon juice to your taste. A tablespoon is 15 ml.
